Pierre Morel è uno dei figli di Luc Besson, un regista francese trasferitosi a Hollywood per girare film d’azione discutibili (Io vi troverò) o indecenti (From Paris with Love). Emancipatosi dal mentore, Morel resta su quella scia ma anche grazie a Sean Penn interprete e produttore alza le ambizioni realizzando The Gunman, presentato in anteprima al Bif&st 2015
